Lydia Andrien is a Floral Designer and Gardener from Brooklyn, New York. For the past 9 years, she has had the privilege of working with skilled gardeners and florists of New York who have helped her broaden her experience as a designer.
With her gardening background, Lydia has learned to appreciate the Northeast, season by season. The Fall for its colorful foliage and branches, the spring for its fresh budding blooms, the summer for its overgrown grasses and flowering herbs, and the winter for its beautiful berries and pods.
We often fail to consider the natural beauty we pass on our walks to work, in the parks of New York, tricked by the flowers at our corner bodegas, selling Tulips, Ranunculus, Roses, and Carnations, melting or freezing in the buckets, sold for half the usual price, which you'll find out later was because they last half as long.
WYLD began as a way to bring nature back to the customer. To reintroduce each season by savoring what each one has to offer. Getting back to the wild is what we're striving for here.
